Heirloom Grains for lunch

"In Harvest" makes a nice mix of heirloom grains that cooks up pretty quickly, perfect for a warm hearty lunch.  I found this and other varieties at our local Cash N' Carry.  It is made up of Israeli couscous, orzo pasta, split baby garbanzo beans and quinoa.  It cooks in about 10 minutes.  I like to add herbs, mushrooms or other vegetables and cabbage at the end.

Recipe:

1 cup Golden Jewel Blend Heirloom Grains
1 cup vegetable broth
2 cups water
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
     Cook until tender, then add:
2 cups shredded cabbage (coleslaw mix with carrots)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried herbs such as thyme and rosemary
pinch smoked salt
black pepper to taste
